My beautiful daughter Cerridwyn, known to us as Kerry, was the person with whom I shared the closest relationship of any on this earth. The youngest of my three kids, she was my only girl and we had a wonderful relationship. She idolized her three older brothers (one on her dad's side) and her niece and nephew. She was an enrolled member of the Ho Chunk Nation and very proud of her Native heritage. She wrote poetry and twice took first place in her grade and category at the National American Indian Science and Engineering Fair. She volubteered at the local planetarium. She was a pre-nursing student at Metropolitan State College in Denver, CO and had a 3.5 average. Three days after her 19th birthday she was killed when two cowards hit her and didn't stop or call the police. I will miss her the rest of my life.
